Made from a beautiful vintage patchwork quilt, this matching cropped hoodie and shorts set is full of colour, character, and history. 🧵🌼
The quilt features an amazing mix of sky blue polka dots, sunny yellow florals, pinks, reds and paisley prints, brought together with bright orange binding. I love that the original patchwork placement is different everywhere you look — no two sections are exactly alike.
 
The hoodie features a cropped fit with a cozy hood, while the matching elastic-waist shorts have oversized quilted patch pockets finished with orange binding.
 
Vintage quilts were often created from a mixture of available fabrics, turning scraps and remnants into something useful and beautiful. Giving an old quilt a new life as wearable clothing lets all of those little fabrics and stitches continue their story rather than being forgotten.

As with all of my vintage-quilt pieces, the fabric has lived a life before becoming clothing. Small signs of age, wear, fading or imperfections may be present and are part of the history and character of the original textile.
Once this set is gone, it can never be recreated exactly.
