1940 Hand Appliquéd Quilt Coat

A little piece of textile history, reimagined into something you can wear. 🤍

This one-of-a-kind coat was handmade from a beautiful vintage appliqué quilt featuring trailing green vines, leaves and sweet dimensional flowers made from colourful vintage fabrics.

I carefully placed the original quilt details throughout the coat so the floral design continues across the front, sleeves and back. The oversized patch pockets preserve even more of the original appliqué, while the soft mint green accents at the cuffs add the perfect finishing touch.
