1930 double wedding ring Quilt Coat

Made from a vintage Double Wedding Ring quilt that likely dates back to the 1930s or 1940s, this piece is stitched with love, labor, and a legacy of scrap-savers and slow makers. The cheerful feedsack prints—florals, checks, geometrics—tell of a time when nothing went to waste and beauty was built from bits.

Carefully preserved and transformed, this coat turns the iconic arcs of interlocking rings—traditionally gifted to celebrate marriage—into something entirely new: a wearable heirloom. It features front patch pockets, chunky white buttons, and a high collar that shows off more of that sweet patchwork. Every curved seam and hand-quilted detail speaks of a past life lived under this quilt, now ready to see the world.
